Turtle Research

Turtle Research

Sawadikha fishies🐟! I hope you all are doing well. I would like to share my research about turtles today. I have been creating a new google slide and finding facts about turtle and their different kinds of species and what they eat. Did you know turtles can eat decaying flesh? I found a lot of interesting turtle species, some are named after continents, objects and even animals! Here are 5 different turtle species: Asian box turtle, soft-shell turtle, chicken turtle, cryptodira and mud turtles. I also found out what turtles eat but it depends on their species. Most turtles are omnivores but they eat over 300 food. Please click on the link below for more interesting information:

  1. Wow Nora, this is really interesting information - what made you choose to find out about turtles? I once had the privilege of watching some giant sea turtles laying eggs on a beach in Florida when I was about 13. I don't know what type of turtles they were, but it was night time and we weren't allowed to take photographs because the flash would disturb them. We also saw some little eggs hatching and the baby turtles running to the sea - I wonder if baby turtles have a proper name, like cats - kittens, dogs - puppies? Thanks for sharing your learning with us. I hope you've had a fabulous first day back of Term 2.
